Pearls of Wisdom by Industrial-Pop Pearls of Wisdom by Industrial-Pop
I'm getting SO many faves on this piece that I can't keep up with the thanks and replies, Thank You in advance!!

Tree 7, "Pearls of Wisdom", also for my grandma :D

Tree: (2) 24Y spools of size 28G gold wire, 100-110 in 12 inch strands; size 11 pearl colored Chech glass seed beads.

Base: a pillar candle holder; size 8 black Chech glass seed beads; regular clear glass marbles with a pearl or rainbow swirl finish on them, found in the floral section.

Tools Used: Needle nose pliers, flush cutter, tape measure, Modge Podge, and a few Q-Tips.

I found a tutorial for the tree by searching online; the outcome varies based on the materials, and your imagination:)

All tools and materials were purchased at Hobby Lobby, but can also be found Micheal's; most but not all can be found at Wal-Mart.

"I am a sucker for wire work, but this piece is certainly one of the most stunning I've seen. This is an amazing concept that has been perfectly executed. The light helps to bring out its details and beauty." Pearls of Wisdom by ~Anya-Lyssa ( Suggested by Emerald-Depths and Featured by KubusRubus )

Nice! Very well done tree, but what really makes it for me is the "potting" media.

Wow!
This brings back old memories...
My grandma had a landscape made out of pearl-trees and stones.
Once, my aunt showed me how to make this, but I never made an entire tree...

You should try it! They're easy and once you've made one, it's like Lay's potato chips! lol They do take some time, a few hours at first, but after you get past that, they're so easy!! I have a tutorial up on how to make this style. I can make 3 different styles now :) My newer trees are all made made in the newest style I learned, since it's MUCH quicker and easier, but I recommend starting in this style, as it would give you a better understanding of how the wire behaves.

I love how simple this piece is and still manages to draw you in. It took me a minute of looking at it to realize that the black objects were beads. The milky white orbs almost look like they're floating. The tree is brilliant and beautiful. Very nice work!

Could you, by any chance, direct me to that tutorial you followed for it?

I've made one other tree with these beads, and when I went to photograph all the commissions, the lighting was terrible! They ALL came out kind of blurry, all save the one with the pearl beads, it came out just as stunning :D I think these beads some how diffuse the light, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth ;)

It's an expression, it means I got something special for free, I got an extra bonus :)It means I'm thankful and won't complain :) I was trying to say that I didn't expect the photo to look so amazing, and it looks that good because of those beads! Commissions will be open in March. I'm on a vacation right now, and our car broke down, we are stranded :( We don't know how long we will be stuck here, but we have to be home in the next 15 days, so when I get back I will start taking orders.

Oh~ thank you for explaining! Oh in march there will be my birthday, maybe with some money saved up I might be able to commission you C: though I'm not that sure; but I'll definitely do it sometime in my life xD
Your car broke down? D:! Hopefully someone will come by like they do in movies to help you out. Get home safe~

We slid on ice. The roads are too dangerous for someone to come to us. We do have a friend who will do it, but we don't want her to risk her own safety. Right now, the roads are closed, so the part we need replaced cannot be delivered right now. Where are you from?

Oh That's really bad!! D: Do you know any idea when it might be safe for someone to come get you?
I was born in the U.S, but pretty much lived my entire life in China (when I just turned 4 we moved) So I consider China as the country I'm from, I guess.
You?

US my whole life. We're fine here, we don't need rescue, we just have to wait a few days, the part will be here when the roads are safe and then it will only take a few hours to repair. We have a hotel room and food. If we have someone come get us, then we would have to get a ride back to get our car, and they might slip in ice and wreck on the way here, we don't want to risk that. Its better if we just wait a few days :)

this is great, love the added detail of the beads for the soil, and the use of transparent beads for the leaves- it makes a cool glowing effect

Actually, they're NOT transparent ;) They're pearl beads, thus the name :)
